Polyvinyl chloride

PVC is produced by polymerization of a mixture of ethylene and chlorine, obtained from oil and salt, respectively. The resulting mixture was named compound, which consists of carbon, hydrogen and chlorine, which can consider the group PVC thermoplastic. Pure PVC is not used, because it is fragile and termonestabilnym material to improve its properties in the compound, as a rule, impose additional components: thermostabilizers (lead compounds, a mixture of calcium and zinc), pigments (pigments), plasticizers, which increase the elasticity of PVC in sub-zero temperatures, and fillers to enhance the processing of the material.
